The Tracks We Leave...
Kendall Family Genealogy of New England
Shaker Village Cemetery, Harvard, MA
The Harvard Settlement was the second Shaker community in the United States and the first in Massachusetts.

How these Kendall's came to be devotees of the Shaker Religious Movement is still a mystery to us. Little personal information is found regarding members, but from what we have found Hannah Kendall may have been, at least for a time, in a leadership role at the Harvard Settlement. Her sister Sarah it appears was involved with a Shaker Settlement in Maine.

Hannah resided at Harvard with her brother Nathan Kendall.
