This burial ground right in the center of Templeton is rather unique in that it is built behind the chiurch on a steep hill in a terraced design.  From the upper level one would never guess, mostly because it can't be seen, the amount of resting places at the lower level.
Additional Kendall Stone:
Well know photographer, the late Daniel Farber of Worcester, MA took a variety of photos of pre 1800 headstones, several of which were Kendall family stones.  His mission was to document funeral art and symbols of early New England.
In the collection is a Kendall headstone from this Old Parish Burial ground which we ourselves did not find.

The Inscription on the stone is:
In memory of 2 daughters of Deacon Paul and Mrs. Mary Kendall
Persis Kendall, died April 20th, 1785, in the 4th year of her age.
Polly Kendall,  died April 21st, 1785 in the 8th year of her age.
