Kendall Life in Leominster....
KENDALL TAVERN
Jonas Kendall Jr was the proprietor of the Kendall Tavern. He also served as a Representative in the Massachusetts State Legislature (The General Court), as well as the Federal government.

It is thought that both Jonas Jr and his father Jonas Kendall Sr were  involved in the construction and daily running of the Tavern which is located on West Street in Leominster.

The tavern as of this writing is owned by Jeremy and Nancy Bell. The Bell's have been gracious and generous, having allowed my father and myself to visit with them at the Tavern.

It pleases us greatly to know that they love the Tavern and its history as much as we do and are committed to keeping it in as close to its original condition as is possible.

The Bell's, in conjunction with Mark C. Bodanza, Esq. have also written and published a play entitled:

"An Evening at the Kendall Tavern"
October 23, 1800
The play is based on the early history of Leominster,
and the Fourth Presidential Election
of the United States.
