The Kendall Cemetery in Tewksbury is a private burial place. Until very recently its exact location was unknown, even to the towns Cemetery Department. Many knew that it existed but apparently no one had ever had the time or resources to venture through the dense over growth to pin point its location or condition.
Over the past year or so we have been working to locate this family cemetery and at long last with the help of the Tewksbury Historical Society and Kim Zunino [Assistant Administrator, Lowell Historic Board] this once lost and abandoned final resting place of several of Tewkbury's Kendall inhabitants has been found!
We wish to extend our appreciation to everyone who had a part in locating this cemetery, with our deepest appreciation going to Kim Zunino who really rolled up her sleeves to dredge through not only maps and deeds but countless years of over growth and debris. Through her great effort we could finally get into this cemetery to document the headstones and the cemeteries general condition. Without her dedication to those cemeteries that are lost and all but forgotten I'm sure we would still be looking for it.
A million thanks to you Kim!
